The Joy of Ringing
by Phyllis Tincher on 03/07/11
At times I get so wrapped up in setting up concerts, working on publicity, coming up with the song order and getting the programs ready that I forget why I'm doing it. I love making a joyful "ringing" noise to the Lord and proclaiming the gospel through our music!
February 20 we were at the Snake River Correctional Institution in Ontario, Oregon, a medium security prison. The wonderful reception and the response by all who attended our two concerts brought tears to my eyes. As we played "The Rugged Cross," I could hear them ever so softly singing. Yes, this is why I love what I do so much! The Lord guides me through the pieces as I look into the faces of those worshiping with us. The words of the songs go through my mind as I interpret those words on the bells.
Lord, thank you for your gift of music and the incredible joy I have when ringing for You.
Getting Started
by Phyllis Tincher on 01/04/11I've just added a blog to our website! I'm going to be setting up concerts in Eastern Oregon for the end of March. If you've attended a concert in the past, please write your thoughts about it.
